My name is Heidi Bitton and I am running for Utah House of Representatives in District 29.
There are many reasons I decided to run for office. Autism Insurance Reform, Education, Equal Rights, Environmental issues, Term limits, Adoption laws and Custodial rights for Fathers and Grandparents. I will dive specifically into each of these topics as the weeks progress.
It seems our voices have been left out of the decision making process up on the hill, and it’s time to set things straight. Special interests have their hands in the pockets of our “career politicians” who, in turn, cast their vote in ways that will benefit themselves, or to guarantee a hefty campaign contribution from big business donors. It’s time to end the bickering and put an end to the sense of entitlement many of our elected officials carry. It’s time for transparency and accountability. It’s time to come together and make a difference for our children, and grandchildren.
Please join me in the weeks ahead while I visit each issue with an open mind and heart, listening to my neighbors and the surrounding communities, and come to sensible solutions that will benefit everyone. Feel free to ask questions as we go.
We’re in this together! And together, we CAN make a difference!
Peace and Love -Heidi.
